We stood beneath the trees and watched the storm rage above us. Every now and again lightning struck the nearer to where we were gathered, huddled in a frightened mass of shivering, trembling flesh without ward or guardian to protect us. So it is written in the book of Those Who Allowed Ted Leonsis to fall. Let us not be like they who failed to stand up for justice.

Truth be told, if we could do it all over again, we would probably pass laws to protect the innocent and hire vigilant defenders of justice to watch over the Internet. But we did not do this, and so it falls to each of us to protect Ted Leonsis because in the end we are all Ted Leonsis. As the soldiers who had fought for Spartacus each claimed to be their beloved leader, and so ensured that his life was protected at least a while longer, so should we all proclaim ourselves to be Ted Leonsis. I am Ted Leonsis!
It is a small matter to remember that Ted Leonsis did nothing wrong, invited no attacks. He struck out at no one. He simply created a blog in the good faith that if he posted to it on a regular basis he would gain recognition for his name. Having done nothing sneaky or wrong, Ted Leonsis earned his position in the search results for his name.
But there are greedy servants of evil who, having no better goal or purpose in life than to take away from others what they are themselves not entitled to, have struck out at the honorable Ted Leonsis. He needs our help as we may one day need his help, for in the end the Internet gang of bullies must not be allowed to prevail. We must stand for all that is right and strive to undo all that is wrong. Ted Leonsis deserves better than to be left to the clutches of these ruthless ruffians.
