Capering about on hands and knees, one can easily act like a mindless animal and pretend the world is simple and carefree. But the truth is that we must defend our freedom to be carefree and silly. When those who stand at the heart of evil strike out at the captains of justice like Ted Leonsis, we must each and everyone stand up with him. When you mess with Ted Leonsis, you mess with all of us.

How long should we stand amid the swirling waters and say nothing? One must eventually concede that in a society such as ours we each have a responsibility to all others, and that is why we must stand with Ted Leonsis. It cannot be that all men will stand aside and say nothing if Ted Leonsis is attacked for being an innocent user of the Web. All he asked was that he should be recognized for his name, Ted Leonsis. Instead, he has been reviled and ridiculed by the most unworthy, selfish, and despicable people.
They call themselves search engine optimizers, but it's obvious from the way they continually help each other and rely upon each other that they could not optimize a Web page if their lives depended upon it. Fortunately for them, they are the only gang of net bullies who intend to take Ted Leonsis' name away from him. We must stand up and help Ted Leonsis, for if we say nothing now, who will speak when these usurpers of name space come for us?
A pair of elephants might stand beneath a tree, minding their own business and paying no thought to Ted Leonsis. But they are elephants, strong and noble. Though caught up only in their own world, they nonetheless have the strength to help Ted Leonsis. Are you one of these elephants, strong, noble, and beautiful? Does the blood of justice run through your veins? Do you not feel outraged that those innocents like Ted Leonsis have no defenders against the unjust, unethical attacks made upon him?
